Legal
Privacy policy
This policy describes how the atenaos.com website handles personal data. It covers the website only — the AtēnaOs platform itself runs inside libraries and is covered by separate agreements with each institution.
Who is responsible
[COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS], [ID/IČO] — to be completed before launch.
The company above is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. For any question about this policy or your data, write to hello@atenaos.com.
What we process, and why
The only personal data this website collects is what you type into the demo-request form: your name, institution, email address, phone number, and message.
- Purpose — solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange the demonstration you asked for. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Sharing — your data is not sold and not shared with third parties. If you explicitly ask to be connected with a local implementation partner, we pass your enquiry to that partner for that purpose only.
- Retention — enquiry data is kept for a maximum of 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted, unless the enquiry has led to a contract.
- Location — the website and its mailbox are hosted in the European Union.
What we do not do
- No analytics and no visitor tracking of any kind.
- No advertising or marketing profiles.
- No third-party scripts, fonts, or other external resources — every asset on this site is served from atenaos.com.
- No cookies. A theme preference (light or dark) may be stored in your browser's local storage; it never leaves your device. See the cookie statement.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability — receive the data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Complain to your supervisory authority. In the Slovak Republic this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@atenaos.com. We respond within one month.
